The Lead Partner-Dr. Peter W. Makokha
Our team leader Dr. Peter W. Makokha has 15 years of experience in specialized evaluation in the fields of agribusiness,trade innovations, food security, livelihood, value chain development, resilience building and finance management. His expertise is in coordinating complex assessments in development and rural projects in Kenya and the Horn of Africa region. He has worked as an M&E consultant for the donor-funded projects in the public sector and the World Bank for a period of 8 years where he led many mid-term, end-of project and impact assessments using various evaluation criteria including participatory approaches. He has evaluated trade, entrepreneurship, investment climate, business environment, PPP’s and empowerment programs at World Bank. Currently, Dr. Makokha is leading the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Country lead at the Sustainable Urban Economic Development program.
We have built a team of 10 consulting partners with experience working in Kenya and the region. The team consist of a mix of M&E experts, data specialists and technical consultants experienced in value for money analysis, complex data and contribution analysis and sector deep-dives. Our partners have wide understanding on modern evaluation approaches for assessing multidisciplinary interventions, independent impact and social impact assessments.
We have a pool of associate partners linked under the team majority of whom are Senior Lecturers and Professors at the University of Nairobi.
Associate Partner-Ms. Beth Kathuo
Ms. Beth Kathuo is our associate partner in charge of quantitative techniques. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry and a Masters Degree in Project Planning & Management from the University of Nairobi. As an associate partner, she is in charge of quality assurance, quantitative data management and analysis.
